The Boring Company

As he said in his recent TED talk in late April:

“Our goal is to beat Gary the snail from SpongeBob Square pants. Victory is to beat a snail”

This sentence appears to be much bizarre when we think about to beat a snail but why?

Because current tunneling technology literally doesn’t yet run at a snail’s speed. The tunnel boring machine is 14 times slower than a snail while tunneling underground.

Now, I know you dreadfully thinking about who is behind this strange idea?

None other than the most influential and innovative persona of current time i.e. Elon Musk

Musk said he’s currently residing in Los Angeles where traffic jam is nearly frantic and key concern nowadays. The people of Los Angeles County squander their 2.5 hours on average in Traffic Jams daily which was not tolerable by Elon Musk, who is also the victim of this problem. So he came up with an idea to dig a tunnel network underneath Los Angeles to minimize this problem. But when he shared this idea with his partner/associate they all concluded that it is nearly become impossible to dig a tunnel network in Los Angeles for the reason of the time and cost factor.

Current tunneling technology is a lot slower that you can’t even compare it with a Snail and quite expensive too. Now Musk wants to build entirely a new boring machine from the scratch that is able to dig much faster and operational on feasible cost. On behalf of this idea, he set off a fresh company merely devoted for this purpose only and i.e.

“The Boring Company”

That’s all I wanted to share with you still if you want to know about this boring topic kindly Google the TED talks.

Have a Nice Day!
