Hey! I know a spot.

Hello Hivers! It's been a month and life has really brought me down that I almost forgot my passion, having adventure and writing about it after. Did someone miss my adventure updates? I am back!

Today, I am going to share to you about my newest discovered spot, Maslog Ridge, a quiet lush green mountain in Bag-Ong Maslog, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur.

Before we got here, we faced so many challenges we never knew would take place as everything was carefully planned, maps turned on, and everything was already prepared.

Unexpectedly, our motorbike suddenly broke down, we brought it to the shop, when that time was allocated as our time for the travel. As a result, we spent the morning at the motor shop.

When we finally started our travel, while the wheels was tracing the asphalt road, we did not realize that the ways shown on the map was not accurate. We got lost. So instead of relying on the map, we just asked random people about the direction. We really had a hard time finding local people because there were just few houses and some houses do not have someone present at that time.

But, thank God, after some asking we did to random people, we finally found the way to the ridge. We parked our motorbike beside the road at the entrance of a cacao farm. The entrance was blocked with bamboo trees horizontally.

We never knew, after hiking this wide cacao farm, we will encounter a blocked entrance again by dead bamboos placed horizontally. That another entrance led us to a pineapple farm with a huge mango tree in the middle, full with green unripe mangoes. My saliva was drooling as I looked at the green mangoes but stopped myself from picking, not even the fallen ones, because when I am in the nature, I really respect everything, especially things I do not own.

After that, we encountered an another blocked way, still with horizontal bamboo trees. It is an another farm, with a landahan, a small hut-like structure where Filipinos smoke the coconuts for selling. Then, we saw a lots of cows. While we took the way, we were wondering if this is really he right way to the ridge. We had trust issues as the map didn't give us the accurate way. But as we were continue hiking, the view of the ridge is now visible to our eyes and we confirmed that we really are taking the right way.

There were so many Amorseko grass along the way, and they stuck to my pants. I don't know how to remove all of it now as I wash my hiking pants.

We built our camp and cooked our dinner meal upon reaching the top. It was very rewarding because after many challenges, we finally reached our destination. And the rain started falling after that.
