The Goose Chase

While the world never stops rotating in its axis everyday and continues to revolve around the sun, we will never stop chasing that contentment that we'll never have.

Everyday, we wake up, go to work or school, move the whole day, some may even have the luxury to have fun, to party all night or appease that inner call of hunger for satisfaction. We can't simply deny the fact that no matter what we have, no matter how much our money may be, or no matter how wide our properties are, we still have that tingling sensation of emptiness tugging down our stomach, drilling through our heads and throbbing in our hearts. We still want more.

Contentment is really nonexistent, at least not for a long term timeline. We may have that amazing and magical moment of satisfaction, but it'll only last for a moment or two, sooner or later, it'll fade away once ideas keep on coming on our mind.

Ideas. Yes, ideas are the culprit of why we cant stay contented. Once we get a grasp of things that we could have done or we could have, our hunger starts to gnaw on us that we began to feel that familiar feeling of emptiness until we reach that certain satisfying factor we set before hand.

So, I believe, contenment is such a goose chase. But I also think that that is why we need to keep up on our feet and live each day, that way we may not become contented, but atleast we will have lesser regrets.
