Hello Hive, my name is Ariyo Daniel from Nigeria. I am studying Industrial and producton Engineering at University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Although I am not really into the course, just studying it to have a degree in Engineering. I would actually love to have a career in my hobbies like Rap music or football.
I first started rapping at age 12, lol, my first few lyrics were from the church's hymn book, the love for rap started in school with my friends, we were freestyling at any corner around the school though my memory is kind of hazy about that period but I guess we had a lot of fun. so I later collected some instrumentals from my friends and some songs that was around 2012, I mostly listened to young money cash money entertainment, the likes of Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, yeah I am majorly into foreign hip hop/rap music, I also listen to Nigerian music, the ones that make sense like Wizkid and co, that time Olamide was really banging with hits after hits and MI Abaga, the chocolate city entertainment.
After collecting the instrumentals I would write to them, record on a laptop and share with my neighbor and my brother(who is not interested anyway). My favorite song that time was 'mirror on the wall remix' by Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and Bruno Mars, I would also listen to songs on the radio.
I still write rhymes till today and rapping over beats, I have been taking it pretty seriously hoping to have a solid career in music, become an international artist, make millions and so on, by God's grace.
There's a lot in the history of my rap music experience but lets keep that for later.
I would have loved to also have a career in football, my first love. I am a core Messi fan, I am also a left footer, I play for the departmental football team, I wish I could take it further and play for big teams in Europe in future.

Welcome to hive! I’m glad that you’re on here with us, it’s a wonderful place full of lots of great people!
I think that it’s awesome you enjoy rapping! We have a fun little rhyme going in another comment thread, I will tag you in it so you can check it out and help us keep going! It sounds like you’ll fit in great with our communities for sure, dive right in and check them out, we have so many different ones you will definitely find one you like!
One of the things I wanted to do is give you a piece of advice that could make this place awesome for you! Talking with some of the people who have been here for a while, we remember one of the best things we did was find other people’s posts through others or go looking and start commenting meaningful things. If you drop small phrases it won’t get you much attention but if you look at a persons post and leave a great comment, a lot of times they will appreciate it and talk with you. If you continue to do this you will develop a friendship with them and will gain followers and grow your account. This is not an easy and fast process. It takes time but the more effort you put in the more you can be rewarded, with limitations of course.
I just say this in hopes you go out there and really connect with people and grow your account. The more we all do this, the more people will come here to take advantage of such a great place.
