How to write a decent Blog post! - Beginner

• Understand your audience.

Before you start to write, have a clear understanding of your target audience. What do they want to know about? What will resonate with them? What are their interests?

• Pick a topic and a title.

Before you even write anything, you need to pick a topic for your blog post. The topic can be pretty general to start with. For example, if you're an artist you might want to share your whole process of what you've done and what you are willing to do, it helps with picking a decent title. For example, if you've made a nice drawing or painting try to tell the reader your interests in the art itself, the process you've gone through (pictures will help). If that's all done you can pick your title unless you already had one. For example, "nice drawing" looks very trite. "My Drawing Of" will look way more decent and gets more attention.

• Introduction.

The most important thing is to grab the audience attention. If you lose the reader in the very first paragraphs you wrote of the introduction. They will stop looking further into your post without even thinking about it it might get more interesting. You can get their attention in a couple of ways: Tell a good story or write some funny jokes. Being empathetic won't hurt anybody either. Then describe the purpose of a post.

• Work neatly.

Sometimes blog posts have a lot of information. The trick is to organize the info so readers are not intimidated by the length or amount of content. To complete this step, all you really need to do is outline your post. That way, before you start writing, you know which points you want to cover, and the best order in which to do it.
