Afrique: A Second Try

Fun fact: I'm not one to paint from imagination. Not that I'm not creative in my mind but..... I find it tremendously difficult to translates my ideas into meaningful expressions. Particularly when I paint. It's basically fresh hell.

This is not to say that I can't or haven't tried but as someone that can be a smidge of a perfectionist, it is just annoying to finish a painting (especially one from imagination) and know that this isn't it. This is not what you planned to do. Be it the palette, form or even style.

Nonetheless, I set out to try something. A painting from imagination. Initially an abstract concept, turned caricature. Now the first version of Afrique, I sadly lost as my laptop was stolen (I'm fairly okay with it lol it wasn't my best work)

However! The second was a major success. So here you go.

And there you have it!!!
A beaut was born!
