Banking Industry Over Bitcoin - Google

Based on what i read on this article by Coinspace, Google is in a partnership with the giant U.S. banking platform Citigroup to establish its own ‘smart checking’ bank accounts.

Just wondering if this decision of Google is really a threat on Bitcoin?
