My First Teacher

If I could give her shoulders a rest
If I could carry her on my back

I know I can conjure a smile on her face
I know I can make her feel worth in her place

But I want to give more
Give everything back
And double that

How do you repay life?

I do it by living
Making sure to carry forth
every good example
every heart lesson
every code

Every compliment I get I say my mother taught me well
