New in Steemit

Hey guys, I'm just new here. My friend told me to sign up here but he didnt explain the rules here. Can anyone tell me what are the rules here. And also I wanna know if I can gain Steemit Power (correct me if im wrong) in posting. And is it only posting blogs/article or there are other things to do to gain Steemit Power?
