Jengkol is a plant that grows abundantly in Southeast Asia. This plant has very delicious fruit that is used as a side dish.

This plant is included in the legume family, its fruit is spiral shaped.

The preparations also vary, some eat it straight away, others cook it first with spices typical of their respective regions.

However, eating this fruit can cause bad breath. But, now many people know how to process it so it doesn't cause bad breath.

For me this is one of the tastiest foods. I really like jengkol and you will see me add it to rice if there is jengkol in the house.
