Lotus

My most recent rendition of a lotus. I chose the lotus as the centerpiece of this drawing because I absolutely adore looking at lotuses. Looking at the form and color of a lotus, it is clear why the lotus was revered in many spiritual traditions around the world. When we see the lotus floating in the muddy waters of a pond, we tend to be reminded of the transformative power of beauty, its inherent strength, its resilience. Looking at beauty invigorates something within us, inspiring us to echo its most profound truths in our daily existence.
