Difference Between Currency and Storing Value

People when they talk about money they think of cash in their pockets or savings in a bank. Currency at its inception was a form of receipt that showed proof of ownership of a commodity. This receipt was used to store value or labour. Does your local currency store any value?

Value of $12.75 if melted down for its metals (silver).

Face value of $1 or approximately 0.1-0.2 cents if melted down for its metals.

What value do you own?

-Keep steeming! History tends to repeat itself.
