Today, I made a stranger happy.

Last night I posted an add on Kijiji for Altec Lansing speakers for $50. A young man contacted me and said that he will give me$50 on Friday. I told him I couldn't wait until Friday and that I needed the money today! He said today is his birthday and that he only has $40 with him and that this money was coming form his account. I felt really bad. These are$150, Bluetooth, waterproof, high-quality speakers. I told him to come and meet me at the train station. We both got there. It was cold. Sunny, but cold. We met on the top of the bridge and pulled the speakers out. We chatted for a few minutes and then it got too cold. He gave me the money, I gave him the speakers and I wished him a happy birthday and we both went our separate ways

I am telling the story because I remember I posted this add for a long time at $80 and I would get offers at$60 and I refused. But this was worth it. I learned that when you can connect with people on a personal level, it's a valuable asset.
