"2012" or "Low of the Ghost Ship" - A very special wave, rarely recorded.

This wave is really special to us. It's one of the most perfect waves on the coast of Espírito Santo, for sure, and it can get impressively big, yet it's still under-documented.

Because it's so sensitive to the swell, tide, and wind conditions, it's a highly coveted wave but rarely documented. But once again, we managed to pick a very special day to bring a piece of it to you.

We call it "2012" – funny name, right? But that's what we called it when we were teenagers and "discovered" it. Back then, we didn't have any idea for names, but a friend said since it was so far away, it was almost "at the end of the world," coinciding with the release of the movie "2012." So, whenever we talked about it and it didn't have a name, we ended up referring to it that way, and it stuck.

Later on, we found out that fishermen called it "Baixa Grande," and divers called it "Baixa do Navio Fantasma," because there's a sunken ship at the spot.
