If I could make any holiday real, I’d call it “Don’t Ask Me For Nothing Day.”

One day a year where everybody agrees to mind their own business.

No favors.
No chores.
No fake urgency.

Just a full 24 hours where you’re off the hook.

You don’t have to explain yourself.
You don’t have to answer that text.
You don’t have to “just hop on a quick call.”

I’m not talking about a vacation or some overhyped “self-care” retreat.
I mean a normal day where you’re allowed to disconnect without guilt.

No productivity.
No hustle.
No trying to “make the most of it.”

You wake up, do whatever you feel like doing, and the world just… respects it.

Maybe it’s sitting in silence.
Maybe it’s watching the same movie three times.
Maybe it’s sleeping in until you forget what day it is.

Whatever it is, nobody’s allowed to interrupt it.

Why?
Because we’ve all hit that wall.
Tired of being “on.”
Tired of being needed all the time.
Tired of not having space to just be a person with no demands on them.

Don’t Ask Me For Nothing Day isn’t about laziness.
It’s about breathing. Recharging. Getting your energy right.

I think we all need that.

And honestly?
I don’t want a gift.
I just want peace.
