Introducing Myself to Steem
I'm Bilbo, a Humanist working as a developer primarily within web technologies, and as a systems engineer. The rare hours when I am not taking care of business or recovering from doing so, I am likely to dig into reading about something in the tech world.
That led me to watching cryptocurrency starting several years back, but from a distance. I never jumped on board before now -- even though I saw each new use for a blockchain hailed by proponents as a piece of humanity's future. For what it is worth, I think Steemit may live up to that.
So, hi!
P.S. I don't think I'll be able to get this handle anywhere else except Middle Earth, or did someone there take it already?

I was just looking at Syscoin, a marketplace blockchain. The alias Bilbo Baggins has been claimed there, but only Bilbo not yet.
