John McAfee Announces BitFi Wallet

John McAfee has been known in the crypto world as both a promoter of cryptocurrencies and someone who is deeply interested in providing security services for the technology. While McAfee has been known to provide promotions at a cost (he accepts tokens for promotions), sometimes it is not always in bad terms.

Lately, John McAfee has been releasing a series of videos both demonstrating and touting his new “BitFi” wallet which he calls the, “Colt 45 of the Crypto World”.

To McAfee, the BitFi wallet is a completely un-hackable cryptocurrency wallet. It works similar to how other cryptocurrencies wallet works except that it produces seed keys from a phrase. As long as the user can memorize the seed key, he will have access to the wallet.

This is likely not the only different between the wallet and other wallets, and we’re sure once McAfee releases a full demo of the wallet, we can understand whether it would be good to carry as compared to the Trezor or Ledger Nano S. For now, we’ve requested a demo unit and we cannot recommend the hardware wallet until further testing has occurred.
