San Juan Islands from LaConner, WA Cruise

If you're thinking of visiting the beautiful Northwest Washington coast I highly recommend you take a cruise such as this whale watching cruise from the small town of La Conner Washington and while you're there check out the many Artisan shops in the town that has a rich history as well and the islands are beautiful whether you see whales or not I actually saw some whales on this cruise, unfortunately by the time I could get my camera back on they had already dived.

It's amazing to think that a creature the size of a school bus is near your boat but you only see a small bit of their back and tail.

If you do visit, wear layers of clothing I wore a hoodie and a jacket over it and still it got pretty cold. They did have a heated area inside the boat where you could grab some hot chocolate or coffee, which I took advantage of a few times during the day.
