What does this say about lending platforms?

One thing i will say is this: Do not reinvest, it sound smart to reinvest but BitConnect just showed us that those who took out their interest daily are smiling.

They are the smart ones. Get in get out. wash rinse and repeat until you have your initial investment in your hands and the rest is profit depending on how long the platform last.
