Star Wars - Qui-Gon's Funeral - Piano Cover (Synthesia)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HfBamPLjJc

After seeing Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker I wanted to go back and watch some of the older films. I always had a deep love for The Phantom Menace, as it happened to be one of the few VHS, yes VHS, tapes that I had always right next to my tv growing up. Of course that movie has one of the most iconic music scenes from the Star Wars universe: Duel of Fates. But it also has some hidden gems that bring back so many memories when I hear them again.

Qui-Gon Jinn was probably my favorite jedi when I was a young kid. I even had one of his toy lightsabers that came out in three or four stacked parts. This funeral dirge was always really moving to me. As a kid I didn't realize it, but the cluster chords used are extremely evocative of the slow and thoughtful nature of the jedi. Unlike his padawan Obi-Wan who was eager to get into the fight or Darth Maul who paced like a prowling beast behind the energy barrier, Qui-Gon was calm and collected; John Williams managed to capture that perfectly.

I do apologize for the spoiler in the title but I figure after 20.5 years it may be safe to release some spoilers.

Thanks for watching!
Logan
