What is Tezos?
Tezos is a decentralized blockchain (Just like Bitcoin or Ethereum) that governs itself by establishing a true digital commonwealth and facilitates formal verification.

What does that even mean?
To make it simple, users who own the tezos coin (or tez) decides on how it gets upgraded or changed due to its user governance (similar to DASH). This prevents the system from forks.
