The most expensive pizza ever

15 years ago today, the first ever documented real world successful Bitcoin transaction transpired.

It all started with Lazsol Hanyeez who was craving pizzas and had 10,000 Bitcoin up for it, and there was Jeremy Sturdivant who facilitated and made sure the two large pizzas were safely delivered to Lazsol after confirming the transaction.

Let’s pause for a second and do the math.

Today, those 10,000 Bitcoin would be worth over $650
million. That's roughly $325 million per pizza, or about$65 million per slice. As at the time of this transaction 10,000 Bitcoin was worth $41 but today you’ll need to sell a yacht or two to afford that much Bitcoin.

This transaction made history and so crypto lovers around the globe celebrate pizza day. Crypto Bootcamp Community brought one to my city and i hope to share in the delightful experience today.
