CASEMIRO TO MAN UTD! DOES IT CHANGES ANYTHING?

To a club at the brick of collapse (permit me to use that word), does signing an aging midfielder changes anything?

After two back for back loses for Erik ten Hag, the rumors of the signing of Casemiro did spread some optimism for Manchester United fans. Who isn’t tired of watching the partnership between Scott McTominay and Fred at the middle of the park? We have to admit the partnership has not been working. Scott is getting sloppy in the midfield due to lack of competition and Fred is always giving inaccurate passes in every other match.

With the signing of Casemiro, at last, we get to see some ruggedness in the midfield. Though we can’t be ahead of ourselves, as he still haven’t played a match in the red shirt. He would first off have to fit into the squad, and that’s one thing most of our signing haven’t found easy for past seasons.

Turn Out of Some Manchester United Signings So Far

According to transfermarkt.com, over the last 4 seasons, Manchester United have a total of 17 signings which includes the signing of Ronaldo, Bruno, Varane and more. We do have to wonder how many of these signings actually worked out well.

Some of our signing did work out well. Bruno settled and made his mark quickly. Ronaldo also proved to be a key man right after his signing

We brought in Maguire for a huge sum hoping he would be the missing piece to the puzzle at our defence ( just like how Van Dijk did solve the defence issues at Liverpool after his signing), but that wasn’t the case. To be frank it only became worse.

There were also some signings that got us wondering. Some pundits did tag them as panic buying – like the signing of Van de Beek, who is a great player but he just hasn’t fixed in so far.
We just have to wait and see if Casemiro would deliver.

Over the past years, Casemiro has lifted over 15 trophies with Real Madrid and that he did with ruggedness in the midfield. Though as a Defensive Midfielder, he is not known for his attacking prowness but he had a few assists to his name during his time at Real Madrid.
