Bakers gonna bake/jest pieczone jest impreza
The ovens have aligned favourably this week, leading to six loaves baked, some more lamb-shaped than others.
Wesołych, smacznego, mokrego. A piekarnik wre.

Those are some sexy loaves!
❤️ A little on the wonky side, I got out of shape with shaping, if I ever was in.
New oven is getting more and more inviting

Jeszcze dodaj #polish 😉
The dough is a living thing, it can never be perfectly even.
Good to see you back on Hive. Enjoy your bread.
Hope you're well!
All good here.
Welcome back to Hive & breadbakers, @breadcentric! Beautiful loaves as always 💪
Interestingly I was thinking about Zurek few days ago. I must try it finally. I think you mentioned it three years ago during corona Easter ... as long as I remember.
Nice idea that lamb-shaped bread ! I would be curious to see the mold of it :))
Indeed, we did make it. It's literally 500ml water 6 table spoons of wholemeal rye flour, three garlic cloves, two allspice seeds, two bay leaves, clean jar, stir once or twice a day and after a week add to some broth with smoked meat :)
Banana for scale

There's a story to it. There's a Polish custom of blessing foods in a basket for Easter on Saturday. I wanted to bake a small one for my basket and looked for a long time, finally found one and ordered from Amazon. I don't think I have to say that it turned out that the sellers mixed up the description. I decided to return it and that's how I learned about non-returnable refunds.
So since I'm stuck with it, i decided to bake in it.
Sadly it's in the garage now, way too far to take it out and make a photo of it ;)
I used a standard loaf recipe, first one was inedible, turn out like clay. The second one was standing in the open for a whole week and was still soft enough to eat.
Thanks to this comment, I made Zur and some starters too. I look forward to cooking Zurek next week 😊

Thanks for the picture and the little story 😇 😉 That's nice you found one !
Love that scaling technic ^^
Haha, that reminds me this series of masks I made in bread with a lot of salt to preserve it, did that few years ago and those are still intact 😊
Excellent!
