Crypto Chicks crushing alt coins

Joining the cryptocurrency revolution only 6 weeks ago felt paradoxically, like being a late early adopter. The smart money was already in and had made unimaginable gains, and yet the majority of the financial world, family and friends were looking at us like we were up to something nefarious.

There was an initial scramble for knowledge - just enough knowledge to be able to ask a question that would not get shot down and ridiculed in any of the male dominated crypto forums.

What would chicks know about crypto anyway?

As luck would have it ... a small group of "lambo refugees" formed a FB group to help each other out and create a forum for chicks who were into crypto.

And it turns out, chicks know a hell of a lot about crypto, alt coins, blockchain, ICO's and how to hodl through a blood-bath (with shopping humour and cat memes if you really need to know).

We can get BTC out of Coinbase without paying fees, set up Nano wallets and balance portfolios in Delta.

The group has grown and we are from all walks of life - nurses, students, grandmothers and new mothers, corporate warriors looking to get out, the unemployed, single mothers; everyone hoping to pay school fees, quit their job, get a better car (if only Lambo's had 7 seats...), put deposits on houses, pay off mortgages, add a little to pay the bills...

But mostly they want to buy more alt coins.

BTC, ETH, LTC are all good and well ... but some of these ladies don't have a lot of pin-money to lose so they are looking for the penny-stocks that will get caught on the next big upswing so they can trade profits for more solid bets.

Aside from humour, there is very little emotion involved here. The potential of coins is intelligently debated, the group - now with over 3,000 members - is divided over the ethics of XRP, almost unanimous in their love of POWR, and investing in PIGGY COIN for shits and giggles. I kid you not.

But the real reason this group is crushing alt coins, is the way everyone is happy to contribute, help the newbies, share information they have found and help each other get used to the crazy ride that goes with any early phase disruption.

The crash will come (it's possibly already here; it's been a particularly red day - queue shopping humour) but when the profits run out, I know who I'll turn to for sympathy and wine!
