buying advice
looking for a low/mid-range laptop with a 13+" display, upgradable ram and ssd/hdd. price range is $300 CAD max.
i will be using debian and/or ububtu. i basically want a laptop that can run VScode, firefox, and occasionaly play some minecraft at low/medium settings. i normally keep the laptop on a stand on a desk and connect it to ethernet and a monitor, plug my mouse and keyboard in

i like both of these, just worried about the toshiaba because they dont make laptops anymore so will repair parts be easy to find?
i like the hp but im worried that the celeron cpu is going to be slow and im going to want to upgrade machines within a few years.

Not sure about celeron, I never like them because the are slow to me 😅 so I prefer going with intel core. But I get the concern with toshiba.
Did you end up buying a laptop already?
I think you would do well spending $150 bucks more and getting a much better computer.
