Amazing Dates......!!

Some of you already know about this fruit and some must be seeing them for the first time ... !!
These are KHAAREK...Kutchi Meva as we popularly say ...!!
Barring North states, monsoon season is dull in terms of Fruit production but the Kutch region is an exception .. Departure of Kutch Kesar Mangoes are filled by Khaarek that arrives in the market DURING INITIAL days of Monsoon season in kutch...!

When these are (especially maroon ones) dried, they turn Khajoor (Dates) ..
Extremely rich in Iron ...!!!!!
These were offered to Bhagwan Swaminarayan by a group of farmers in Swaminarayan Mandir in Mandvi kutch as a mark of the beginning of Ashadhi month ..!!

If u get them in your region (by transport), do try them ....Kutch and part of South Rajasthan are the only places where it grows in Abundance...
