It's not promoting SF that gets you downvotes. It's posting your referral link that gets you downvotes. So if you wanna promote SF just do it, just don't post your referral link. Post the actual steemfollower.com link and that's it.
I see you got plenty followers and do resteems... how get resteemed by you ?
