Stranger Danger!!!
Hello everybody.
This will be my first post in the Steemit world forum/blog thingy, so if I have posted this in the wrong place please forgive me.
I'm a little cautious about diving head first into new things without feeling like I know exactly where I'm going to land, but I guess sometimes you just have to take the plunge and enjoy the ride. So here goes...
I'm a self employed electrician and married father of one (so far). My interests are boxing, martial arts, 3d printing, hiking + camping, building/creating, art + science, philosophy, writing, nature, meditation and learning new things.
I'm currently learning/teaching myself front end coding and working my way through a free coding website (I would post the link but unsure if it counts as spamming?) as I feel coding is the future. Any tips from any coders out there would be greatly welcomed from this newbie.
I have registered on several forums in the past and even created one of my own (not massively successfully, but an experience nonetheless) with the help of some friends from across the world. But most recently I happened across some videos on Youtube about steemit as well as crypto currencies and I'm interested to learn more so I decided to sign up.
I hope to post some videos of some of my 3d prints at some point, as well as browse the site, tinker, help and have a good laugh also.

P.S. I had a read through the Markdown basics post, but I was wondering is it possible to do things like text wrapping around images to make posts look like a really polished article?

I have been tinkering with HTML and CSS on codepen, but wasn't sure if it would display properly. I'm still a coding newbie, but learning little by little. Thanks for the tip!
Don't mix markdown with HTML on this platform, I tried and got a headache lolol ...I knew next to nothing about coding before I stated blogging on Steemit. There are some formatting tutorials on Steemit but you have to search for them.

As a fresh steemian it can be hard to increase your steem power so my advice would be to give @MinnowPowerUp a go as you can earn up to 30% more steem power than just powering up! It's a subscription based daily upvote bot that draws its power from a delegation pool. I made this post to explain the system in more depth and show how I earn over $1 a day in upvotes.
