My Actifit Report Card Happy B-day Hike

A Fishing B-day hike for the P-man. Hard to believe my little guy is 13 today.

We came out to the Cajas national park. The park that keeps on giving. Feel you could spend a lifetime hiking here and still not see it all.

It was about 45 minutes to arrive at this sweet lake. And following water falls to arrive.

The kids stayed fishing, so Sarah and i decided to walk around the lake.

Started as pretty pleasant walk.

But it wasnt clear how to get around, as it was very boggy. So lake kept getting farther away. Mom was getting worried about her babies. Both teenage babies now.

So i started taking is off path… it got a bit hairy, pretty jungle on the cliff side… Sarah was not pleased. I think we may have divorced out there in the thick of the jungle.
She turned back and i marched on. And of course i safely reunited with everyone. Another adventure for the books. Kids safe. Ex-wife safe. A day well spent out in the bush.

And we walked back to civilization, if i walked far enough ahead i could enjoy my last enjoyable hike moments without needed to hear Sarah squawking about how i nearly killed her. Lies. She was safe and sound the whole time.
