My sketchbook continued

Hi everyone!

I continued working on my sketchbook, this time I just scribbled around a bit and created a zentangle style mandala. Since bad news won't stop coming in in real life, I found this to have a relaxing effect on me.

The beginning was very asymmetric. I thought I should be able to draw circles without any tools - I was so wrong!

Sorry for the poor quality of this picture, I found it quite hard to photograph this drawing.

For the next segments I used a compass and filled them with different patterns.

For the last part I drew flowers around the last circle and filled the petals with patterns. Initially, I wanted to make them look somewhat realistic, but completely failed on this.

All in all, it took me several hours to finish this, I sat on it on three evenings. It's not the best piece of art I've created, but as written above it had a relaxing effect on me, and additionally I found it to be a nice exercise to draw lines and other shapes.

Probably not the last time I did something like that...
