Hello World!

I first ventured on to the world wide web the summer we were all wondering: Who shot Mr. Burns.? I had used computers almost my whole life but I was slower to adopt the newest things within computing even back then. Since then I've seen a lot of things come and go from the internet. Steemit has me very excited. You won't find me in too many corners of 'social media' or the latest web craze or apps over the years. But the POTENTIAL for Steemit to revolutionize content is stunning. The idea that we can create a commons for ideas driven by the efficiency of market forces without advertising, subscription, required labour (other than using the platforms its running under) or being part of a vast data mining project is beyond brilliant it is revolutionary.

I am so excited to be here early enough that this is still a relatively small sized, learning and developing community. I suspect that this technology will face a September that never ends sooner rather than later (I'm sure for MOST of you I am part of the September that never ends, lol). Ideas this great tend to trend online. We need to be reaching out to people in all corners of the Web to get people to join us here.
