When It Rains It Pours #2
Green Park is an upmarket estate in Athi-River. The estate got flooded after river Stoni Athi river burst it's banks. The estate had a perimeter wall but the massive force of the river destroyed it. What causes a river to burst ? This happens when there is more water upstream and in this case that was heavy rains, as it overflows downstream to adjacent low-lying area.

The estate is situated in a low-lying area. Such areas are very vulnerable because they flood easily.That's how the road looked like. Thousands got stranded on sides of Mombasa to Nairobi highway.
