A lot of altcoins especially the newly minted varieties are overvalued, according to the CIO of a cryptocurrencies hedge fund. This time recalls the period just prior to the DOT-COM bust (which means the peak of the bubble) when companies were made based on nothing more than an idea. Many of these ideas are untested but funding them, even though there was no guarantee, promised the funder big returns when the idea would have come to fruition, hopefully in a short period of time. Now is a similar time when it seems a new ICO bursts out each day for all the world to grab.
