My road

 
I travel a road
different from the beaten track,
My course is true
Though I shun the beaten path.
Within my heart there dawns
A new understanding dawns within my heart,
Revealing truths
With every step I take.
My planted seeds of self
Now begin to break
From the earth, taking root
Through sun and storms.
Where hearts lie barren
lies this earth made plain,
But look, little shoots of green
Now pierce the darkness.
This journey is mine,
this journey is my light,
Leading lonely feet
To the promise beyond.
Where will it take me?
Only time can tell,
But in fresh soil and in every
soul I have sown,
hope takes root,
Love lifts its head again...
The road less travelled
makes all the real difference.
