Cats Make Kittens - Trading Rate Reduction
I have decided to reduce the trading ratio back down to 20:1. To prevent any adverse effects of having traded in KITTENS today, I won't put this change into effect for 4 days. This means that if you exchanged KITTENS today at 24:1 that CATS will have 4 days to earn KITTENS before the rate change.
The change is being made to simplify and hopefully improve our distribution moving forward. It should be easier to identify errors and hopefully prevent those errors from happening in the first place.
So on Sunday November 3, trading will change to 20:1. Until then the trading rate will remain at 24:1.

Well, whatever the trading ratio is, I plan to continue accumulating CATS. I know a lot of people seem to be trying to sell their CATS, but it seems to me the better long-term play is to keep accumulating and holding.

hey, i just send 48 kittens today. is the rotation 20:1 now? did i have send 8 kittens more then i needed?
did i get the oversended 8 back or should i send 12 more next time?

I am keen for a lower rate, meaning I can accumulate more sooner!
Also, I sent 72 to make 3, on Saturday, haven't had it though I usually have it by 12 hours before now. I know you are probably swamped with kittens, just wanted to mention it.

It probably wouldn't be too difficult to automate cats distribution. I could tweak some of the code from the new ufm lotto bot and use it for this. I could probably run it for you too if you don't want to setup and manage python things.
Refunds would still be manual, but setting something up that sends one cat automatically for each X amount of kittens is totally doable.
That would be amazing. I'm hoping once we've been at the 20:1 exchange rate for a few days, there won't be many refund scenario's.

I can double check for you but I believe everything has been corrected and some refunds have been sent out.
It could be set up for a ratio, if you don't mind partial cats being sent. So if someone only sends 10 kittens they get half a cat. This would reduce the need for refunds.
I see now CATS must be whole. I have written and tested the code, it will send 1 CATS for every 20 KITTENS and even automatically process refunds, all we need now is the account you plan to use and the active key for that account (to transfer the CATS). You can get a hold of me through the UFM Discord.
If anything goes squirrely with the account you can change the active key with your owner key.

Same here. If you want to mine SE-tokens, this is the best bang-for-the-buck by far.
Those of us who have accumulated a lot of Cats -- we need to be less tempted to blindly sell to the highest bidder whenever we want to make a quick Steem or two. The value of Cats is diminished significantly because of this. For instance -- I saw someone sold today for almost as low as 1 Steem...

Those people don't really care about thier CATS! They probably feed them canned cat food instead of live mice anyway.
(LOL, in real life I am allergic to cats which is why it took me so long to join into the game)
kittens tend to wander off sometimes... it is best to keep them in a secure location, with a Mama cat to effectively oversee all of them. Mama milk seems to keep mine in line.
(Just kidding, I am a CAT owner but don't own the account, hope this gets sorted for you shortly)

Not sure if I've got this wrong, but are @catscientist upvotes meant to be 5% per CATS held? I started with 5 CATS and got 25%... perfect, but as I accumulate CATS (now on 8.. well, 9 after today) I was expecting @catscientist upvotes to increase as well, but I'm still just receiving 25%?

The votes are just a bonus to holders. I try to update the voting rules weekly and am currently overdue for an update. I should have thinks updated today or tomorrow.

How often are CATS supposed to make KITTENS? I used to get them daily at around 07h00 (local time):

But last few days havent been earning Kittens...
Yeah... I had the same on the 25th & 27th... but got mine on 26 & 28 ...
i.e. Seems every other day is being skipped/missed. Not sure if it's on purpose though.

I suspect the project has been abandoned.
I haven't received my cats from the last few days' sending kittens either. I've also sent CATS to my alt accounts, and they aren't getting Upvotes, the Upvote % also hasn't been adjusted in several weeks, and whoever is/was behind the project hasn't answered any questions and/or made any posts in ages.

The cats are sent within 3 days right now, I have always been getting my kittens daily right now too so the cats will come. I know @catsmakekittens does work but it would be nice for them to give us updates and is due to post.
They should also look to get some people or tools to help out with the project and for it to grow! I would be happy to help with just posting to the account to provide the updates now and then, or if they get someone to do so and tell the community what is coming next, plans etc.
A project like that is a lot of work. I hope everyone will have their CATS back.

hmmmm, it would appear I need to eat my words.
After seeing @thegoliath's comment I went and checked my ALT accounts and it appears they did indeed get an Upvote increase 5 days ago.
My CATS from sending KITTENS for the last couple of days have however not been processed, and as @thegoliath says: Whoever is behind the project would do well to get some people/tools to assist and/or automate, and some information/communication would be a nice change too.
There's a big lack of communication, it is very harmful to the project.
@braaiboy I normally find the cats to come in on the third or fourth day since the last time they were sent, but all transactions get filled. The other day I had 1 filled the day after sending them off.
I just hope things pick up again after Christmas/holiday period and they get more time to do things. Also to start working on communicating more, even if they write a few paragraphs once a week or 2 weeks, to talk about what is going on and keep showing up things are progressing.

You aren't, you can do any multiple of 20 as it is 20 kittens per cat. :)
I send a lot more at a time than that haha!
mmm... my tokens are also a lot of work and yet I post daily on ONECENT, even if there isn't much to say I always update the price and give some bonuses.
I know they mentioned they work, so that could make things harder. It is just a matter of at least weekly or fortnightly so they need to get back to the posting again to keep in contact with the community. Daily posts aren't necessary but it depends on the project, yours is easier to make them.

I didn't get sent kittens on the 24th, 28th and it is nearing the end of the 29th for me. Missing one is fine, but need to get to fixing the missing kittens!
I really hope you got some big update coming and more communication and can show us you are here and everything is okay where you are (as I know things can get tough or happen in your country/area etc).

Der Wettbewerb lautet:
Der Dienstags5er.
Dafür suche ich noch 3 Sponsoren, die ihren Coin in der Öffentlichkeit durch diesen Wettbewerb bekannter machen möchten.
Dies ist eine gute Werbung für Ihren Coin und Sie werden auch als Sponsor genannt.
Um was geht es?:
Jeden Montag wird eine Aufgabe gestellt, bei der die Meinungen – Ansichten – Erklärungen etc. gefragt sind.
Bilder – Begriffe – Situationen usw. müssen kommentiert oder beschrieben werden.
Die Regeln:
Mindestens 5 verschiedene Teilnehmer müssen ihren Kommentar abgeben, damit der Wettbewerb gültig ist.
Mindestens 50 Worte sind für jeden Kommentar nötig, damit der Kommentar gültig ist.
Keine Mehrfachnennung oder doppelte Accounts zugelassen.
Nach 5 Tagen werden die Sieger durch die Teilnehmer und die Sponsoren durch einfache Mehrheit gewählt. Kommt keine Mehrheit zustande, ermittel ich die jeweiligen Sieger für den 1 – 2- und 3 Platz.
Die Sponsoren dürfen auch Aufgaben stellen, die dann nach und nach im Wettbewerb gestellt werden.
Eine einfache Mehrheit bestimmt den Sieger – den zweiten und auch den dritten Platz. Jeden Montag werden die Sieger bekanntgegeben.
Dienstags startet die neue Runde.
Von den gesponserten Coins/Token gehen jeweils – gemischt von allen gesponserten Coins -
10 Coin an den ersten Platz.
05 Coin an den zweiten Platz und
03 Coin an den dritten Platz.
Der Wettbewerb lohnt sich also sehr für die Teilnehmer.
Ich selber stelle den Comment-Coin für den Wettbewerb zur Verfügung.
Sollte der Wettbewerb auf Dauer keinen Erfolg haben, so werden alle restlichen Spenden selbstverständlich zurückgezahlt.
Damit die Preise gewährleistet sind, ist eine Mindestspende von 100 Coins vorgesehen.
Ich hoffe, damit neue Steemians zum Kommentieren und auch Posten zu bewegen, damit die Coins bekannter und erfolgreicher werden und auch der Account der „NEUEN“ wächst und damit natürlich auch Dein eigener Coin mehr Wert bekommt.
