Boun Ok Phansa festival marks the end of monks' three-month-fast and retreats during the rainy season. At dawn, on the first day of festival people will gather to give morning alms, later at the temple observe the townspeople receiving precepts, listening to sermons and giving offerings of robes to monks and novices.

LAY HEUA FAY, THE FIRE BOAT PROCESSION
Observing the beginning of the procession of the Fire Boats in the Vat Tat Noi area. After the procession has made its way down the main street we precede to our Aman boats for an evening cruise on the Mekong observing the procession of the boats entering the river at Vat Xieng Thong steps as well as observing the town’s people sending their offerings to the river.
