In life lots of people are just chasing and fighting shadows instead of dealing with the real thing. Are you one of the people that does that? I mean chasing shadows, and treating the symptoms of problem instead of addressing the real issue of life..
According to our reading passage, when Peter started rebuking Jesus, Jesus knew and understood where the real problem was! He didn't keep mute and assume Peter was being childish or acting foolishly. Jesus addressed the issue,"Get behind me, Satan."
When solving problems, you must always address the root causes of the problem so to have a lasting solution.
When the effort you put into doing something good is not bringing forth tangible and good results, you need to pause and ask yourself "Am I doing the right thing, at the right time, at the right place, and am I putting the right attitude towards what am doing?"
Do you know that leaving in past pains, failure and hurt is fighting shadows!
Keeping malice with people is fighting shadows etc.
There is nothing as frustrating as fighting and chasing shadows.
Prayer: Every root of problem in my life must die in Jesus name. Amen
