Does steemit worth quitting job for?

I just decided to ask this question,  because I can't just believe what happened in our work place yesterday,  a friend of mine said he quite job because steemit gives him exactly what he's working for..  I think that idea isn't wise but what do you think? 

 Should i quit as well for steemit cus ain't getting  no much money from work.... I'm really confused on this you guys have to give me an advice....  Can you quit Job for steemit?
