DIY [=] Rechargeable Battery Charger

Technology has always been my thing. I love making things out of other things that are no longer useful or spoilt. This thing like a burning fire, a deal that makes me want to things which others may not find it possible to just do it out of no where–from scratch.

My mom had this old Powerbank that no longer charges her phone nor any other persons phone. For a fact, it was useless. I took it, tried charging it still no change. Once plugged in, I used it's two output USB ports to charge other devices.

Then, this voice kept saying to me, “you have to open up this box to see what's inside. You may fix it.” I was able to open a Powerbank for the very first time. Then I saw this different batteries, different from the ones in torches or radios, joined together. Five (5) of them in this box connected to a green panel.

Many things I played with them, LED lights, torches, bulbs, speakers, motors, etc, that they ran low.

They were no longer able to light even the smallest bulbs. I tried cutting off the head of a non-functional cable head to try powering it up with a charger. It took all day.

How I Made A Battery Cage

In looking for a way to charge these batteries, an old electric lamp and then used some of its body parts and it's panel to construct a Battery Cage for powering these batteries, three (3) each time.

The battery cage consisted of:

• Old lamp casing
• Casing of an adapter (carrying the panel and customized for plugging in charger.
• Red (+ve) and black (-ve) wires
• Glue (abur)
• Plastics and tapes to cover the panel and hide wires respectively.
