paper wasp's
I happened to notice a wasp nest on the facia of my house. It was so cool, I wondered if I could somehow save it. I know I have seen collections of wasp nests, but I wondered how to collect it from the wasp's. Some of the nests I've seen, were on branches. The collector just cut the branch, and hung it on his wall. Mine was on the facia of my house. Seriously thought of cutting the facia above and below the nest. I happen to be a carpenter, so it would really be no big deal. I was going to wait for winter to do the deed.
Then something happened that I didn't expect. As the fall/winter weather came, it slowly deteriorated and washed away.
Now i wondered where the wasp's went? Do they only use a nest for one season?
If anybody can explain this, please do.
