Weekend trip to the top of "Ambuluwawa Tower", Sri Lanka

Hello Travelers,

With my work load in the office, I couldn't travel last few weeks. But this week I got a chance to visit "Ambuluwawa Tower", Sri Lanka with my family.

It was located middle of the country, Gampola town. The stunning views from the top of the Ambuluwawa Tower have made a significant contribution to its increased popularity in recent years. This is the location of the tower, you can come, if you visit Sri Lanka. (7.317248158491389, 80.52902335251846)

This is the entrance road to the Tower. We had to go by foot since, it's difficult to park near the tower.

Ambuluwawa Tower can be reached by train also. The nearest train station is Gampola Station .If you are taking the train, My recommendation is best to hire a tuk-tuk/taxi from Gampola town to the Tower.

Gates were opened around 8.30 AM. This is the entrance to the mountain range. The mountain peak is 3567 feet above sea level. We had to climb the mountain. since, The tower is situated on the mountain's summit. It was so difficult to climb for our parents.

At 9AM , the tower looks like this. It was fully covered by the mist.

The tower is 48m tall. And if you're not comfortable with heights, It's difficult to climb. As you move up in the tower , there are several watching platforms where you can take in the breathtaking views. As you go up in the staircase, it becomes narrower. At the top, We felt like the tower is moving due to the heavy wind.
