Can STEEMIT overtake Facebook?

With Facebook getting raked over the coals this past week, it led me to wonder - "Can Steemit overtake Facebook?"

Many years ago - before Facebook - there was a site called MySpace. It was crazy popular... and what happened to it?

I don't know - I just don't see how FB can stay on their high horse much longer - does it really add to one's quality of life?

What are your thoughts?
