Thank you for a nice story. It's a little sad, because you didn't have a birthday party until you were 12, but then it's happy because you did! My birthday is late in the year and I am the youngest in the family. It seemed like every year, everyone had birthday celebrations but me. Then one year, my mom made a Mickey Mouse cake for me and had a surprise party! Thanks for helping me recall a good memory. !helios !hivebits

Your story is similar to mine and am the last child too,but my cake was different from yours?

I really like this. Despite the short word count, there is a lot of emotion and drama that occurs. I was sad for the speaker (I don't assume it is autobiographical), but also curious about why he didn't have celebrations for his birthdays before 12. Then, I was happy he had one, but wondered why he had to hide cake for himself. So, that is what I mean by emotion and drama. And suspense.
