Flood normally doesn't take place in hilly area. Only flash floods sweeps some plain areas at times during when sudden heave downpour takes place. Such flash flood occurred in Baghaichari of Rangamat Hill district back in 2007. Several mud houses collapsed and numbers of houses were simply washed away in the muddy current of Kachalong river. Crops of hundreds of acre were partially damaged. The flood water luckily receded after 15 hours of sweeping the whole area.
