The real flex is peace
One thing about humans is we love luxury lifestyle must time it is not necessary for me there is many luxury that is overrated you see owning a huge house simply because it looks impressive.
Please don’t misinterpret me having a beautiful and spacious house is very good. We all deserve to live in a peaceful, safe and comfortable place but currently it seems like the only means for people to to know that someone is successful is base on the kind of house you live in. When i look at the enormous houses i keep asking myself how many people live there? Must times is only two or three people that is living in the massive house and keep asking myself why building such a massive home.
For what i look out in a home is my safety, peace comfort and functionality. To be honest is better i live in a modest but beautiful house that i can maintain than putting myself in expenses because living in a massive house will demand for money for fixing things.
There is one thing i get to discover about owning an expensive house that people don’t talk about yes you have got yourself an expensive house but the cost didn’t stop there you will have to clean the house, furnish and so on at times pass by you will have to pay for maintenance and repairs. Most times we spend a lot of money on something that is not necessarily needed.
I would honestly prefer to spend that money on experiences and things that genuinely improve my life. I could travel, learn a new skill, support my family, invest in a business, save for the future or simply have enough financial freedom to sleep peacefully at night. To me, having money but constantly worrying about maintaining expensive possessions doesn’t feel like true luxury.
Must times i don’t blame people who build massive houses because the society have made them believe that the only means to know who is successful is base on the house the have we always see influencers and celebrities showing off their massive homes on social handles before we know what is happening we start measuring our success by the kind of house we live in.
My honest take instead of me to live in a massive house that feels empty i rather live in a small house with people i love and cherish
Must people living in this massive house are not really living a happier life i know of a friend who is living in a massive house but always come to my area to spend more time with me because she always feel lonely.
I will rather spend it on things that give me peace, freedom and genuine happiness.
