(ENG/PT-BR) Instagram edit: 2019
Heyo, everyone! I've been hustling a lot to keep my routine functioning.. being in the middle of a catastrophe in my city, Petrópolis, having to give English classes, take care of my sick cat, do the domestic work (let's stop being stupid males, it's not help - it's our job as well), give attention to my newly romantic relationship and still finding time to skate, film, edit and post has driven me crazy these past weeks haha adult life sucks? nah, just late-capitalism.
coe, coé! To tendo que rebolar legal pra manter minha rotina em dia.. tá no meio duma catástrofe aqui em Petrópolis, ainda tendo que dar minhas aulas de inglês, cuidar da gatinha doente, fazer o trabalho doméstico (vamos deixar de ser bando de macho escroto, não é ajuda - é nosso trabalho também), dar atenção ao meu novo relacionamento romântico e ainda achar tempo pra andar, filmar e editar tá me deixando maluco hahah vida adulta é uma merda? naaah, só o capitalismo tardio mesmo.
No more complaints. Life is the way it is, and my therapy has helped me a lot to cope with self-understanding, self-acceptance and to enjoy the process, even if it's too chaotic sometimes.
This video is a compel of all of my instagram skate posts from 2019, added with some nice pictures which I felt dialogued with the message I wanted to pass. Some of those images I've already posted before, but not a big deal - new edit, new image, right?!
Chega de reclamar. A vida é do jeito que ela é, e minha terapia tem me ajudado muito a lidar com autoconhecimento, autoaceitação e curtir o processo, por mais caótico que ele seja. Esse vídeo é um compilado dos meus posts do Instagram de 2019, além de algumas fotos que achei que dialogavam com a mensagem que queria passar. Algumas imagens eu já postei antes, mas suave - edit novo, imagem nova, né?!
2019 was a hell of a year to me. I quit my formal job at an Investment Bank in order to focus on my personal project, a collaborative hostel - which didn't happen yet. By that time, I was a host on Couchsurfing platform, having hosted over 60 travellers from 20 different countries in 3 continents; I went vegetarian for nearly 6 months; started working as a consultant; quit the consultant firm I worked for and went to France to meet a girl I fell in love with, who I met only 3 times and have known for less than 6 months. Plus I really focused in skating once again!
2019 foi um puta ano! Me demiti do meu emprego formal num Banco de Investimentos pra focar no meu projeto pessoal, um hostel colaborativo - não rolou ainda. Naquela época, eu era um anfitrião pelo Couchsurfing, tendo recebido mais de 60 viajantes, de 20 países diferentes, espalhados por 3 continentes; fui vegetariano por 6 meses; comecei a trabalhar como consultor; me demiti da consultoria que eu trampei e viajei pra França pra encontrar a mina que eu tava apaixonado, tendo encontrado ela 3 vezes só e conhecido há menos de 6 meses. Ainda, voltei a andar com frequência!

YEAH MAN! Loooks like 2019 was a BIG year for you and made some serious life choises! Didn't know you lived in France, dope! So, how was Europe? hehehe!
I completely agree with you man, life is quite busy sometimes but let's enjoy every moment of our free time and the proccess to a more simple yet better life!

2019 was the big turning point.. I started the year at Uruguay, backpacking. Kicked off right hahahaha
I lived there for 7 weeks with my ex, it was amazing! Europe is crazy, it's impossible to be there and not think 24/7 about colonialism and imperialism. I met amazing people, though, and paid a lot of attention to architecture and the migrants in the city I was. The architecture helped me a lot with the decision to come back to Petrópolis in 2020...
