Good Man>BadCop

One day I listen to a man who was happy to have met a police officer who was nice to him under the circumstances that he had found himself in. After he had explained to me every detail of this situation he ended with.... that's a good cop. I laughed lightly and shook my head before standing to my feet and prepared myself for his reaction to the words that I was about to say to him.

There is absolutely no such thing as a good cop....I exlaimed. He may be a good man but if he is doing his job as his training has educated him to do than that prevents him from being a good cop I added with a firm tone. He was looking up at me like he had just experienced an amazing epiphany. Then I said softly....there is no such thing as a good cop.
