Original Snow Moutain Drawing Tips (Oil painting vs Watercolor) 雪山油画水彩对比

I chose two different mediums ( oil and watercolor) to draw snow mountain. We could compare the different effects between oil painting and watercolor

Oil Painting tips:

1. Green color used to illustate a feeling of transparency and clarity
2. Trees are painted from dark to light color, from dark green mixed with ultramarine to light blue, and finally to pure white highlighted as snow.
3. Reflection is painted in the final step with edge of a palette knife

Watercolor painting tips

1. Big brush quickly sweep on watercolor paper for snow mountain with uneven strokes
2. Mountain is painted from light part to dark/shallow part
3. Grey with a little ultramarine color for shallow part
4. Trees are last step
