Unexpected Gift

Hi,

This is a short post about last Friday night.

We visited our friends who live in the valley. There is a lovely 15-minute hike to their place from the village. We ended up chatting quite late after dinner, it must have been around 11 pm when we left, guided by the torches on our mobile phones as we had forgotten to pack our headlamps.

Half way through the hike back to the village, we turn around and see two pairs of eyes. The kittens we had cared for during two weeks, a while back, were following us.

We tried to shoo them away but that was hard to do, we love those kittens. We tried to run from them but they kept following.

We had to walk all the way back to our friends' house with them and then walk back to our village.

The view was splendid. The air was cool and damp. Exactly what I had needed to sleep well that night.
I don't have a picture of the lovely night sky, but I do have one of the kittens from the days they were staying with us.
